Birthday Surprise - Really!

I get a call bright and early this morning, from my Grandma. I let it go to voice mail!

And what did the voicemail say?

"Hi sweetie. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Did you get your check? Love ya"

Well...she got the day right, just not the month! It's next month! Those damn J months!

And as for the check, here's the funny story. We usually get $20 for our birthday and $20 for Christmas. Graduation? $20 Marriage? I don't know...but probably $20. Well, once you turn 18, you are dumped off the Christmas check list.

What's funny is, I send her $150 a month. I almost want to tell her to just keep the checks....but I know she looks forward to sending them.

So...does this mean I can have cake and ice cream today AND in a month? Hmmm...

No.

No cake for you.

Put the fork DOWN and step AWAY from the cake.

I think today would be an unbirthday. So go ahead and celebrate! Happy Unbirthday!

Life is short. Celebrate now AND later!

Mmm, cake.

That reminds me of a story. I shall have to tell it on my blog. It involves a college class, a cute smartass guy, and a pop quiz... and cake.

I bet I've got some folks curious now. Watch for a trackback. ;)

I have to agree with Ogre on this. No cake. Then again from your own stories if you made the cake yourself, you might not want to eat it. (runs away laughing) :)

I believe in Birthday MONTHS...go ahead and start celebrating now and then just end it with a BIG day!

Oh and the cake? Hell Yeah! In fact - make that turtle cake - you do that very well!! ;-)

If grandma says it's your birthday, then it's your birthday. Now start celebrating! :-)
